The HCC Baseball program has wrapped up the Fall season and now has it’s sights on the upcoming spring season. The 2023 roster will be the first recruiting class for Coach Leaton and his staff after taking over the program late last summer.
The 2023 roster will feature 23 new faces. The Hawks returned 3 hitters and 4 pitchers off last year’s team. Coach Leaton is excited about the potential this roster brings.
The Suncoast Conference went from five to four teams for the upcoming season. Polk State, State College of Florida, St. Petersburg College, and HCC will make up the new conference realignment. The top 2 finishers will represent the conference in the playoffs. The 4 teams will play each other 8 times. The teams will play two 4 game series for a total of 24 conference games.
The Hawks will open the season Friday January 27th at the JUCO Early Bird Festival. They will play 4 games in two days to open the weekend.
