The 2024 Hawks baseball season will get underway January 26 in Auburndale. The Hawks will play 2 games Friday and a single game Saturday.
The ’24 Hawks will feature six returning pitchers that had a significant role last year as Freshmen. The addition of some very talented freshmen arms should solidify the staff. The offense will have several newcomers with a good mix of Freshmen and transfer players. The team had a great fall and will look to continue that success this spring.
Head Coach Raydon Leaton will begin his 3rd season with Hawks and his 22nd season overall. Assistant coaches Will Tucker and Danny Perez have been a great addition to the staff. “Danny and Will have worked extremely hard on and off the field to make this program better” says Coach Leaton. Not only are they great coaches but they are also first-class people as well.
The Hawks schedule features 56 games including 33 conference games in the newly formed Citrus Conference. The conference features 12 teams with the top 5 qualifying for the post season.
