The Hawks started out the new year playing hard at the Men's Basketball Home Conference Games. They squared off against Buccaneers of Florida Southwestern College and the Titans of St. Petersburg College.
We gave the St. Pete Titans one heck of a game and took them into overtime where every second counts. In the end, we lost by one shot.
Nonetheless, we fought back. Two key players of the game were Jeffery Prophet and Walter Covington IV. Prophet led the team with a 27.5 point average between the two games, and Covington had 23 points per game. This goes to show that the games this season will continue to be close as we threaten to take advantage.
These loses put the Hawks at 12-11.
