Jay Jay Mastrovito
Title: Volunteer Assistant Coach

Jay Jay Mastrovito returns to the Hawks as an assistant coach for his 5th season. While assisting Coach Worrels, he helped to lead the Hawks back to the State Playoffs after a four year absence.

After the season, Mastrovito joined the Florida Air National Guard stationed at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. Mastrovito was activated due to the events on September 11, 2001. Mastrovito separated from the United States Air Force in 2003 to pursue his education from the University of South Florida where graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Management Information Systems in 2005. Mastrovito rejoined the 290th Florida Air National Guard in February of 2009 to continue serving our nation.

In 2013, Mastrovito joined the coaching staff at Ferrell Middle School leading the Tigers to place second in the conference. Finally, Mastrovito volunteered as an Assistant Coach to the Tampa Bay Thunder, an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) organization, in 2015.

Currently, Mastrovito resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife Micaela and two daughters Laney and Holly.
