Hawks of the Week goes to- #5 Hunter Fitz-Gerald
Hunter is one of HCC infielder from Margate, Florida. In 2019 he was drafted by the Rockies and transferred to HCC in the fall of 2020. Hunter hopes to get a higher draft pick or transfer to a university to continue his education and baseball career.
So far this season Hunter has had some impressive metrics. On offense side, he has played in 33 games and 134 plate appearances. Hunter’s is batting an average of 0.278, with twenty-two RBIs and runs batted in. In addition, he has six homeruns, three triples and a slugging percentage of 0.516.
On defense, Hunter has a total of 158 put outs, ranking him 75th in the NJCAA national rankings. He is also in the top fifty ranking in double plays (37th).
Hunter currently is studying for his AA in Business.
