HCC Women’s Basketball Shines with Four Players Named to Citrus Conference All-Conference Teams

The Hillsborough Community College women’s basketball program is proud to announce that four of its standout athletes have been recognized on the Citrus Conference All-Conference Teams, highlighting the team’s exceptional talent and hard work this season.

Freshman Danika Ballard earned a well-deserved spot on the 2nd Team. Known as one of the top three-point threats in the conference, Danika averaged 8 points per game, demonstrating her scoring ability and contribution to the Hawks’ success.

Joining her on the 2nd Team is freshman Linnea Blomberg, who showcased her defensive dominance throughout the season. Averaging 8 points and 2 blocks per game, Linnea secured her position as a force to be reckoned with, ranking 11th in the nation in blocks.

On the 1st Team, freshman Jasmine Bocca made an incredible impact, leading the Hawks with an impressive 15 points per game average. Jasmine delivered a career-high performance with 34 points in one game, including an astonishing 16-for-18 shooting from the free throw line. Her consistent excellence earned her this well-deserved recognition.

Sophomore Masiel Reyes also claimed a 1st Team spot for the second consecutive year. Masiel capped off a historic career, averaging 18 points per game this season. She became the first player in HCC women’s basketball program history to score over 1,000 career points, finishing with an astounding total of 1,103 points.

These accolades reflect the hard work, dedication, and skill of each of these players, as well as the strength of the HCC women’s basketball program. Congratulations to Danika Ballard, Linnea Blomberg, Jasmine Bocca, and Masiel Reyes for their outstanding achievements!
