Tampa, FL – The Hillsborough Community College (HCC) women's basketball team is gearing up for an exciting season, fueled by a talented roster of returning players and promising newcomers. With a blend of experienced veterans and fresh talent, the Hawks are poised to make a significant impact on the court.

Returning Stars 

Leading the charge are four returning sophomores: Sophya Barreiro, Shayla Sandiford, Maggie Lauber, and Masiel Reyes. Reyes, in particular, has garnered national attention for her exceptional scoring ability. She led the state in scoring average with an impressive 22 points per game, ranking second nationally. This high-scoring talent, combined with the experience of her teammates, forms a formidable core that will be a key factor in the team's success.

HCC's roster is bolstered by eight talented freshmen who are eager to contribute.
