Raydon Leaton takes over as the Head Baseball Coach at Hillsborough Community College for the 2021-22 season.

Coach Leaton was hired by Northern Oklahoma College Enid in 2000 to start the baseball program and teach in the Business Department.  In 2001, he became the college’s first Athletic Director for the Enid campus.  Leaton served in this administrative role until 2014.  During his tenure as Athletic Director, he oversaw the inaugural seasons of men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, and softball.

Leaton served as the head baseball coach for 19 years at NOC Enid.  His teams went to the NJCAA Div. II World Series four times, including three of the last six years.  The Jets finished 8th place in 2014 and 3rd place in 2002 and 2018. The 2019 team reached the ultimate pinnacle of athletics by winning the NJCAA Division II World Series claiming their first National Championship!  The Jets had 15 NJCAA All Americans, 73 Academic All Americans, and 679 wins in his 19 years.  His teams have had over a 3.0 GPA in all 19 years. Raydon has won five Region II Coach of the Year awards and four Plains District Coach of the Year awards.  In 2019, he was voted Region II Coach of the Year, National Championship Coach of the Tournament, ABCA National Coach of the Year, and Diamond Sports Regional Coach of the Year.

Leaton received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Oklahoma State University and his Master’s degree in Business Applications from the University of Central Oklahoma.
