The Lady Hawks Placed First Team

Isabel Martin is a freshman outside hitter from Mauerstetten, Bavaria, Germany. She has been a powerhouse for the HCC Lady Hawks. Isabella started in 29 matches this season and has been climbing up the leader’s board for NJCAA every game. She was nominated for player of the week for the NJCAA on two separate occasions. Currently, she is ranked 1st in kills per set with a 4.88 average and is also 3rd in the nation in total kills with 449. She has been a great asset all around on the court with defensive digs and service aces.

Nadine Burbrink is our freshman middle blocker from Bavaria, Germany. Nadine has been a defensive wall at the net. Nadine has impressive numbers with 28 solo blocks, and she is ranked nationally with a total of 97 blocks. Not only has she been a threat on defense, she has also helped the Lady Hawks with her attacks. She has a .315 successful hitting average making her 34th in the nation.

Caroline Molossi-Benke is HCC motivational leader. Caroline is a 5’7” Brazilian sophomore who is constantly motivating her teammates. This year she was nominated as speaking captain on the court and also a co-captain on the leadership committee by her team. Caroline has made an incredible comeback this season after suffering a major knee injury last fall. She has had 30 appearances as a defensive libero specialist. In those matches, she has accumulated 458 digs, ranking her 23rd in the nation. 

Mariana Volponi e Giordan is HCC’s best coordinator on the court. She is a sophomore setter from Brazil who has proven to be a great resource to the team. She is currently ranked 33rd nationally in assists and has an 8.61 assist per-set average. Marianna is a diligent worker both on and off the court. She was awarded the Workout Warrior in the off-season and continues to be a physical influence. 

Second Team All-Conference

Olivia Piazza is a Florida local adding some heavy artillery as an outside hitter on the net. This is her second season with HCC, and she has helped the Hawks tremendously both seasons. She started in 180 matches and accumulated 375 kills in her career. Olivia has a .208 average kill per set and 57 defensive blocks.  Olivia was nominated as Hawk of the Week after demonstrating leadership against a very tough team earlier this season.
