Volleyball Qualifies for the FCSAA State Tournament

The Lady Hawks Volleyball Team will return to the post-season for the 16th time in 20 seasons under Coach Larkin. HCC has secured a spot in the national top 20 poll throughout the season and hopes to earn a trip to the NJCAA National Championships for a 9th time. The Hawks' 8 past trips are second only to Miami Dade College.

"The state of Florida is so strong and usually has four or five teams in the national poll," explained Coach Larkin. "We spend most the season beating each other up. Whoever gets out of Florida will have a chance to win it all."

The Lady Hawks have been led by former Player of the Week Alice Munari who leads the team in kills and aces, Elene Bullemer who leads the team in assists, Janna Morrissey who leads the team in digs, and Chalina Lederer who leads the team in blocks.

This year's FCSAA State Tournament will be hosted by FSW and EFSC and will be played at EFSC's Melbourne campus. The Lady Hawks will depart on November 3rd, and competition starts at 9am on November 4th. The final schedule will be released on October 28th.

When asked about the HCC's chances, Sophomore Elena Bullemer stated, "We have seen everyone in the state and know that we are capable of beating anyone. It's about being our best at the right time."
